Down Beatz Privacy Policy

Down Beatz is a team broadcast app for colorguard and marching arts competition warm-up. This policy explains what the app does — and does not do — with your information.

Short version

We do not collect, store, sell, or share your personal information. There is no account, no login, and no Down Beatz server that receives your data.

How the app works

Down Beatz works over a local WiFi network, usually a portable travel router at a competition venue. The coach's phone acts as the local server for that session. Team phones connect to the same local network and to each other. Nothing is sent to a Down Beatz cloud server, because there is not one.

What stays on your device and local network

• Display names you enter so teammates can see who is speaking — shown only inside your session, on your local network.
• Session names and codes — used only to join your team's session on the same local network.
• Music tracks you upload — stored on your device and played in sync to your team over the local network.
• Coach voice — broadcast live to team phones on the same local network during a session. We do not record it, store it, or send it to any server.

What we do not do

• No analytics, tracking, or advertising software in the app.
• No third-party software that collects your data.
• No account creation, so no passwords or account profiles to leak.
• No sale or sharing of personal information, because we do not collect it.

Children

Down Beatz is used by teams that may include minors, under coach supervision. Because the app collects no personal information, creates no accounts, and sends no data to us, there is no personal information from a child for us to receive or store.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
